We Communicate! Yes We Do!

Our Awesome Director of Communications Jean sent our staff an email yesterday morning… I thought it might be helpful to tell others as well.

There are many different ways that Our Saviour’s communicates WHAT we’re doing to those that are interested.

Below is her email…

Hi Everyone,

There have been some questions regarding the different communication pieces we are using at Our Saviour’s.  I thought I would take the time to send an over view and hopefully answer some of your questions.

Here’s how the Communication pieces work:

Monthly Connections

This is a story telling/reflective piece of communication.  We currently are providing this information in 3 ways; displayed at the beginning of each month in the kiosks, mailed to 90 homes who still requested it, and available on the website at the beginning of each month.  Although we put some “save the date” information in, most of the calendar information should go into Weekly and E-Connections.

Weekly Connections

This communication piece consists of dates and information that we want the congregation to know about. This is printed information that goes into the kiosks on Friday of each week.  It is intended for people to take with them. We try to post event/opportunities 2 weeks in advance.  If it is an event or ministry opportunity that they may need to purchase tickets, or register for, we will put the information in earlier than two weeks.

E-Connections

This is an email blast that we send out to the members who have email.  This is sent out late in the week, usually Wednesday evening or Thursday during the day.  Most of the information that has gone into the Weekly Connections also goes into the E-Connections.

EBB-(Electronic Bulletin Board)

This is a visual communication piece.  It is displayed on a screen in The Nelson Fellowship Center (Main Campus).  It is being used to give basic information to the congregation members.  It highlights events, dates,  and times along with other brief information that went into both Weekly and E-Connections. If someone has specific questions about something they have seen on the EBB, it is our goal that they be directed to the Weekly Connections for more detailed information.
