Check These Out [Feb. 28, 2009]
I haven’t posted one of these for awhile and some favorites of mine have been piling up. So here it goes…
- Working with Faith – President Obama talked at a National Prayer Breakfast on Feb. 5th. I like that the government can still make faith a vital part of its agenda… no matter what faith.
- Great Outreach Technology – I think we should seriously consider doing this for OSLC… it looks cool!
- How To Bring About Change When You Are NOT The Boss – Two simple steps… I’m doing this everyday! Thanks for the insight Dave Ferguson!
- It Takes 12 Months – This caught my attention because OSLC is currently going through the hiring process for a new Youth Director. This is a very important leadership position in the church and I believe Tony Morgan is correct in his post here. It took me awhile to decide how I would grow my position in the church into a leadership position. Remember… I was hired right out of high school. I was simply a “do-er”… now I’m a “leader”!
- Hilarious Thumb-Drive Cake Mistake – This is just too funny!
- Not So Sure Pastors Are The Innovators – Ben Arment makes a valid point here. Quick note to my pastors: Notice that he’s not saying that innovative thoughts cannot come from a pastor. All I’m saying by highlighting this post is that sometimes I can relate. I’m the young guy on staff who’s got ideas.
- How to Help Those in Your Church Navigate Troubled Economic Waters – Doesn’t the title say it all?
- HOW TO: Make Firefox Your Productivity Machine – Elliot gave us some really good pointers as to why Firefox rocks our socks off! If you’re still using Internet Explorer as your default browser… DITCH IT!
- The First 100 Days – This is The Onion’s version of President Obama’s first 100 days in office. Pretty funny if you ask me.
- Music Rights in iTunes – I’m posting this because I always get a lot of questions about iTunes music. Please read this before asking me any more questions about why you can’t just give me the file that you downloaded from your iTunes music store. You have to convert it to an mp3 people… seriously!
- 8 Reasons Why Michael Hyatt Loves Gmail – They’re also the 8 reasons that I, Graham, love Gmail too! If you’re still paying for an email service through AOL, mac or your former place of employement (I’m lookin at you AT&T) please… STOP! Haven’t you heard?!?! It’s 2009! You don’t have to pay for email anymore! Gmail is literally the best email service out there, and with it you’ll get what’s called a free Google Account. This will allow you to use such things as Google Reader to keep up with all the blogs you follow! (Like this one!)
See… I told you it had been awhile. That’s a long list. I’m sorry… I just feel that it’s important for me to highlight them! Have a great day!
Wow. It's Quiet Here...
