Sunday Setlist [3/1/09] – The Gathering

So before I actually write out the setlist… I just wanted to highlight the service. We started a new sermon series for Lent titled “STUCK”. You can read all about it here.

Here are some highlights from Pastor Mark’s message this morning:

• Sometimes people get afraid
• When we’re stuck… what holds us is fear
• We’re afraid of losing control. It’s safer to be stuck in a relationship or a job that we don’t like than to take a chance.
• Extreme home makeover is a fantastic show because it’s about people that were stuck… getting un-stuck!
• We have to own it… Where am I stuck and why? Own the fact that in the scary times… We’re stuck. We’re afraid to take a chance.
• I can live faithfully and not fearfully
• God says: “I was always there in the past. What makes you think I won’t be there in the future?”
• If you’re not a believer or you’re struggling with your faith right now, come hang out in some faith community and let us believe for you. When you don’t have the courage… let us have the courage for you.
